Falcons United’s Flight Academy (Rec League) is a community based, donation-supported soccer program focused on fun, development, and inclusion. Open to players of all skill levels, the league offers a welcoming environment where kids can learn, grow, and play the beautiful game without financial barriers.

• Falcons Flight Academy is the official foundational program of Falcons United, it is designed for players ages 4-18 of all experience levels. This fun, high-energy program focuses on developing technical skills, confidence, and teamwork. Whether it’s your child’s first kick or they’re aiming to soar higher, Falcons Flight Academy provides the perfect runway for their soccer journey.

1. Is this league really free?

Yes! Our Rec League is 100% free to participate in. Thanks to generous community support and donations, we're able to offer this opportunity at no cost to families.

2. How is the league funded if it's free?

3. How can I make a donation?

You can donate securely online at Falcons United | Donations. Every dollar goes directly toward equipment, uniforms, field rental, and keeping registration free for all.

4. Who can participate in the league?

Our Rec League is open to boys and girls of all skill levels (Birth Years 2022 - 2008). No prior experience is required!

5. What equipment does my child need?

Players should bring the following, soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, and something to drink. We provide team shirts and all other necessary equipment.

6. When and where are practices and games held?

Practices begin the week of March 8, 2026, and games start the weekend of March 21, 2026. All events are held at Western Park, Cedar Point.

7. When will we hear from our coach?

Coaches will reach out to their teams by March 1, 2026, with more info about the team, schedule, and first practice.

8. Can I request to be on a team with a friend or sibling?

We do our best to honor requests, but we cannot guarantee placement due to team size and balance.

9. Can parents volunteer to help?

Absolutely! We welcome parent volunteers as coaches, assistants, team parents, or event helpers. You can indicate your interest during registration or click here Falcons United | Volunteer with Falcons United

10. What happens if it rains?

We will notify families by email and post updates on our website and social media if practices or games are canceled due to weather. You can also check the county phone number to see what fields are closed at the following number 252-728-8484

11. Is there a uniform or jersey?

Each team will get pinnies to wear or receive a Falcons United team shirt / jersey to wear on game days, free of charge if we have enough donations.

12. How long is the season?

The season runs from early March through mid-May, with one practice during the week and one game each weekend.

13. Will there be referees?

Yes, there will be referees for u10 and up, coaches will ref games for u8 and below

14. Can my child play in this league and another club/travel team at the same time?

Yes, but please make sure it won’t cause scheduling conflicts.
